Antor Meets The Media 2018


More than 60 travel media guests met with 23 tourist office members at the Army & Navy Club in Pall Mall, London, for the annual “ANTOR Meets the Media” networking event on 25 September 2018. Members included  the Austrian National Tourist Office, Bahamas Tourist Office, Belgium Wallonia Tourist Board, Canada Tourism Board, Catalonia Tourism Board, Czech Tourist Authority , Dominican Republic Tourist Board, Egyptian State Tourist Office, German National Tourist Office, Pure Grenada, Gibraltar Tourist Board, Israel Tourist Board, Latvia Tourism Board, Mexico Tourist Board, Philippines Tourism Board, Qatar Tourism Authority, Samoa Tourist Authority, Slovenian Tourism Board, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Tunisian National Tourist Office, Visit Guernsey, Visit Flanders and Visit Russia.
Travel editors from Wanderlust, Family Traveller, Good Housekeeping, Elle, Lonely Planet Magazine, Marie Claire, ELLE UK, Woman & Home, BA Highlife and National Geographic amongst others along with a wide selection of freelance writers, BGTW members and bloggers held one to one meetings with members to learn what is new in their destinations in 2019.  Many media commented on the useful contacts made and feature ideas generated from the evening.
It was a highly successful evening. Both guests and members were very pleased with the networking opportunities and enjoyed a delicious selection of canapes and plentiful champagne.
ANTOR’s popular prize draw took place with media guests winning a selection of prizes that included two Business Class return tickets from London to Moscow with 2 nights’ accommodation at the Intercontinental Moscow Hotel Tverskaya 5* on B&B, a case of Belgium beer, Czech Bohemian crystal glass vase, Grenadian chocolate, a Slovenian wine voucher, “Mexico: A Culinary Quest” Book, Philippine Don Papa rum, Taiwan’s voucher to spend at BAO restaurant and goodie bags from Guernsey & Israel!
