Antor’s 65th Anniversary dinner took place last year at the House of Lords. Following on from this, Antor decided to make it an annual event.  This year, the House of Lords dinner took place on 06 November. Antor member attendees included Botswana Tourism, Visit Denmark, Czech Tourist Authority, Atout France, Gibraltar Tourist Board, Samoa Tourism Authority, Slovenian Tourism Board, Tobago Tourist Board and Tunisian National Tourist Office.

The Rt. Hon Lord Lee was the host and speaker for the dinner. Lord Lee entered the House of Lords in 2006 and sits on the Liberal Democrat benches. He leads for the Liberal Democrats on Defense and Tourism. He is a company director, investor and financial journalist. He is the Chairman of Wellington Market Plc and a non-executive Director of Emerson Developments (Holdings). He is a former Minister of Tourism.

A delicious supper, was followed by an address by Lord Lee and debate about the importance of Tourism given by the various governments and the importance of Brexit to the countries of the attendees. It was agreed that the dinner next year should take place.

“Just a quick email to say thank you for organising the dinner last night and to say how much Jillian and I enjoyed it. It was a shame that more people were not able to attend, but I do think that this is an event which ANTOR should continue to hold…I think that the organisation has a very important place in the industry.” – Dawn Wilson (Botswana Tourism Organisation)
